CPA JAMES AGGREY OJWANG’
BOARD CHAIR

Has more than eight years of experience in the finance and accounting field with two different Companies namely East African Safari Air Ltd and Car Hire Services Limited. Has more than sixteen years in audit and consultancy with three different firms: Bakul Kothari and Company, Alexander Grants, and James Aggrey & Associates.

Has worked as a consultant and as an accountant with three different NGOs namely WOFAK Buckner International- Kenya, HIRDA International-Somali, and Seed of Hope. Has done statutory audit assignments for different companies e.g., Flex Air Cargo Limited, National Aid Control Council (NACC), etc.

Has carried out comprehensive governance audits for ICEA Lions, Taia Sacco, and Adrian Kenya Limited. Ability to evaluate accounting systems of the organization and provide relevant internal controls that are able to minimize risks in the organization.

Has a wider knowledge of internal and external audits and implementation of management reports geared towards improving the accounts department. Successfully oversaw the computerization of the accounts department of different companies, and has special skills in business management and strategic planning.

Has successfully carried out risk management assignments by performing regular systems audits, regular data backups, and security of financial records, with experience in budgetary management and control, cash-flow planning and management accounting, and financial reporting.

Successfully managed the introduction of a monthly review of the section performance that improved service delivery and quality of service in the organizations served. Experience in company secretarial duties, filing returns, writing minutes, special resolutions, Board of directors meeting management, compliance with governance issues, and governance audits.

CPA James holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Project Management) from Kenyatta University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Finance option) from KCA University. He is a Certified Public Accountant from Strathmore University and a Certified Public Secretary.


CPA JOAN MATHERI
DIRECTOR

A Finance Accountant with over 8 years of work experience in accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, tax compliance, and treasury management. She has also facilitated internal and external audit processes within the organizations.

She has worked in different roles as an accountant for three organizations: Kenya Forest Services, DHL Excel Supply Chain (K) Limited, and Kenya Education Network. Over the period she has handled the following roles: accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets accountant, GL and cost analysis accountant treasury accountant, and senior accountant role.

She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Finance Option) from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and also a Certified Securities and Investment Analyst (CSIA).


CPA WALLACE KIMANI
VICE CHAIR

A qualified and registered practicing accountant. He has over 10 years of experience in all aspects of accounting, auditing, taxation, and financial management. He is a founding partner and the managing partner at Wallace & Associates, Certified Public Accountants of Kenya.

He is well informed about the international standards on Auditing, International accounting standards, and international financial reporting standards. He has handled a wide range of Clientele portfolios in the public and private sectors, financial services, and commercial sectors. He also previously practiced as an auditor in renowned audit firms and also served as finance director at various organizations and held senior management positions.

He has served in various institutions in governance and leadership roles, currently sitting on various boards and committees. As part of community involvement, he has been on the monitoring and evaluation committee for the church parish Strategic plan and a secretary for the church men’s Fellowship.

He has a Master of Science in Finance (MSc Finance) from the University of Nairobi, Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Accounting and Finance-First Class Honors from Strathmore University, and currently pursuing KASNEB company secretarial professional course. He is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), a member of the Institute of Directors Kenya (IODK), and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). He has participated in various international and local training and conferences that have honed his skills in leadership and business advisory.


CPA HENRY MBURU WAWERU
DIRECTOR

Certified Public Accountant and a Master’s Degree holder in Business Administration, Finance option, a strategic leader with a career spanning over 20 years, and currently works at a senior management level in the Public Sector.

He has served in different public institutions, including Schools, Municipalities, and Counties, excelling in providing strategic financial advice, implementing financial management guidelines, enforcing proper management, control, and accounting of funds, providing input into the budgeting process, and managing cash flow and forecasting.

His experience leverages expertise in financial management, strategic management, policy development, accounting, performance management, budget management, and administration management. Key of his experience highlights include; developing and implementing a plan to create demand to achieve revenue growth, controlling the departmental budget, advising the County Government on accounting matters, and overseeing the implementation of the approved accounting standards, policies, and concepts to ensure compliance.

He possesses strong resource mobilization skills with local and international development partners and good oral and written communication skills, including report writing, interpersonal, organization, negotiation, and personnel management. As a visionary leader, he is a highly-capable change–agent who consistently refines and revitalizes strategies, initiates change, and facilitates solutions-driven in a team collaboration work environment.


CPA BRIAN OKOTH KADIRI
DIRECTOR

Brian is a goal-oriented, self-motivated accountant who values honesty and transparency as core elements in meaningful and essential financial management and reporting activities. He was engaged in accounting and finance activities for about three years in various capacities at Impact Research and Development Organization (a local NGO), where he began his career.

He started as a volunteer in outreach work at Tuungane Youth Transition Centre. Moved to Tuungane Youth Project funded by PEPFAR – CDC and became an Accounts Clerk at TOWA (Total War Against Aids) Project funded by National Aids Control Council before working as a District Accountant with Pembe Tatu Project, also sponsored by PEPFAR – CDC, all under Impact Research and Development Organization.

He currently works for Ringroad Ministries, funded by the Christian Relief Fund for the past eleven years, where he has risen to the position of Finance Manager. He is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA –K) and a full member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance from Kenyatta University and a Master of Science in Commerce with a Finance Specialization from KCA University.

He is a Rotarian and a member of the Rotary Club of Kisumu Winam, where he serves as the treasurer for the year 2023/2024.He is among the founders of Mental Health Mashinani (MHM), a community-based organization that emphasizes the mental well-being of society.
